Allsup’s Taps Cardtronics as ATM Services Provider

Exclusive deal means 300 new automated teller machines for stores in three western states

CLOVIS, N. M. -- Allsup’s has named Cardtronics as its exclusive ATM services provider, the western retailer announced Wednesday.

Cardtronics, a global ATM owner and operator, will add more than 300 ATMs to Allsup units in 160 towns and cities in New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. The process of installing the ATMs is set to begin immediately and is due to be complete early this spring.

"Loyalty and collaboration are core to our business at Cardtronics,” said Jonathan Simpson-Dent, Cardtronic’s chief commercial officer. “In our new role as Allsup's exclusive ATM services provider, Cardtronics will exhibit those characteristics through a partnership approach, focused on using our ATMs to drive point-of-sale spend for Allsup's convenience stores.”

Allsup’s is owned and operated by founders Lonnie and Barbara Allsup, who have run the company since their first store opening in Roswell, New Mexico in 1956. The Allsups were early adopters of innovations like 24-hour, self-service gasoline and selling fresh food on-site.

Cardtronics services about 225,000 ATMS in four continents, and works with more than 2,300 financial institutions.
