Aloha Petroleum Helping Ronald McDonald House

Canisters collecting funds through May 31
HONOLULU -- Aloha Petroleum Ltd., one of Hawaii's largest gasoline marketers and convenience store operators, will be collecting cash donations at its 30 Aloha Island Mart locations on Oahu and the Big Island to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii's efforts to provide a "home-away-from-home" for seriously ill children and their families.

The specially marked RMHC Hawaii collection canisters are located at Aloha Island Mart checkout counters and will be in place through May 31.

"I give enormous credit to Aloha Petroleum for this program that they [image-nocss] have set up to help Hawaii charities. Being the designated organization this quarter means a great deal to RMHC Hawaii, especially during these difficult economic times, and we are extremely grateful," said Jerri Chong, RMHC Hawaii president/executive director.

The funds collected by Aloha Petroleum will help RMHC Hawaii provide crucial assistance to families who must travel to Oahu for their children's medical treatments.

"Ronald McDonald House Charities fills such an important need in our community by offering families with ill children a comforting place to stay. We're pleased to support RMHC Hawaii and know that our customers will be too," said Richard Parry, Aloha Petroleum president and CEO.

Honolulu-based Aloha Petroleum is an independently owned and locally operated petroleum marketer and c-store operator. It employs approximately 380 Hawaii residents, and operates more than 50 fueling locations on Oahu and the Big Island of Hawaii.
