Atlas Oil Holds Customer Appreciation Events

Also planning annual Marine holiday party

TAYLOR, Mich. -- Atlas Oil Co., having recently purchased 23 BP branded retail sites from BP in the Northwest Indiana market, held Customer Appreciation Events earlier this month at three of its six BP Indiana Toll Road locations, two on the north side at Portage and Rolling Prairie and one on the north side at Elkhart.

The events included free hot dogs, candy and snacks; vendor mobile marketing units with free product samples; coupons; t-shirts; pumpkins; and more, the company said.

Country music radio station B100/WBYT broadcast a live remote at the Elkhart North [image-nocss] location and gave away two pairs of tickets to the CMA awards. Customers at Atlas' 50 other locations were also eligible to win the tickets.

Atlas owns and operates the BP Indiana Toll Road sites from its Granger, Ind., office. Atlas currently offers seven gasoline brands and supplies approximately 300 retail locations in Indiana, Michigan and Illinois.

Meanwhile, Atlas Cares, the charitable arm of Atlas Oil, will again host a holiday party for a local Marine unit and the Marines' families to interact with and give thanks to these brave men and women before they leave to serve for our country in Iraq.

Last year's event (pictured), with the help of donations and participation from vendors and business partners, offered holiday cheer, gratitude and support for approximately 200 to 300 Marines and their families. This year's event will be held on December 6 at Selfridge Air Force Base in Mount Clemens, Mich.

And in other company news, Atlas oil recently named Maher Najjar to the position of chief information officer/quality process improvement. As a strategic partner with the Atlas Leadership Team, Najjar will use information technology to streamline all technical, accounting and administrative processes and procedures to meet business objectives.

Najjar began his Atlas career as director of commercial systems and support in June. Prior to joining the organization, Najjar worked for Arrow Uniform, where he was the vice president and CIO.

Headquartered in Taylor, Mich., Atlas Oil is a distributor of petroleum products and related services in the Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.
