BP Extends FleetCor's Fuel Card Contract

Deal includes BP, ARCO fleet cards, Universal, Branded Marketer programs

ATLANTA -- BP Products North America has extended its fleet card processing and program management services through FleetCor for its North American fuel card products. This will include the BP and ARCO proprietary business fleet cards as well as the Universal and Branded Marketer fleet card programs.

"Working closely with BP's branded marketers has afforded FleetCor the opportunity to create new and exciting products that can help grow their businesses" said Bill Schmit, president of FleetCor's Global Fuel Services Division. "With the extension of the relationship with BP, FleetCor remains [image-nocss] the largest processor of proprietary fleet card programs for major U.S. oil companies."

BP is the second major fuel brand this year to extend a relationship with FleetCor as its fleet card program provider. In June, CITGO awarded FleetCor the contract for the CITGO-branded fleet card.

"We are thrilled to continue our business relationship with BP North America" said Ron Clarke, FleetCor's chairman and CEO. "Our best read on client satisfaction comes from clients choosing to extend their relationship with us."

BP markets more than 20 billion gallons of gasoline every year to U.S. consumers through 12,000 BP and ARCO branded retail outlets and supplies more than 4 billion gallons of fuel annually to fleets, industrial users, auto and truck manufacturers, railroads and utilities. BP is the single, global brand formed by the combination of the former British Petroleum, Amoco Corp., Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) and Burmah Castrol. BP is a global producer, manufacturer and marketer of oil, gas, chemical and renewable energy sources.

Atlanta-based FleetCor, The Global Fleet Card Co., is a worldwide leader in managing and processing commercial fuel cards. FleetCor serves more than 750,000 business fleets, and more than 3.5 million active cardholders in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
