C-Store Industry Vet Debuts Retail Management Services

BURR RIDGE, Ill. -- Convenience store industry veteran Michael Zielinski has launched Retail Management Services Inc. (RMS), positioned to offer solutions to troubled retail chains.

Along with many strategic alliance partners, RMS can provide best practices to create successful succession plans whether a retail chain needs a short-term or long-term operating company to achieve necessary financial goals.

Working with court-appointed trustees, banks or other lending institutions, workout groups or bankruptcy attorneys, RMS provides a team of veterans with experience in the petroleum, convenience store, automotive repair, quick-service restaurant (QSR), rental car, towing, body shop and other retail industries.

Zielinski, who serves as president of RMS, has served as president and CEO of Royal Buying Group Inc., a Lisle, Ill.-based convenience store sales and management organization.

"There will always be change in retail chains, and their ability to stay financially successful is more important than ever," he said. "Whether a retail chain can overcome internal or external financial pressures will determine their ability to stay financially accountable to their lender. When they cannot, we can provide that leadership and expert adjustments to that chain's business model in order to bring that chain back to a viable business venture."

Burr Ridge, Ill.-based RMS provides decades of experience, procurement expertise and numerous industry consultants to help change the existing model into a desirable location for consumers, he said.

The company employs a team of qualified personnel that can step in and operate your retail locations on short notice.

"Whether you have or need to change out current management, or if the current operator abandons your site, we'll have a team in place as soon as you need us," said Zielinski.

RMS will assist in reorganizing the legal, ownership operational, or other structures of a company for the purpose of making it more profitable or better organized for its present needs. The principals of RMS have a combined experience of more than 50 years in the retail arena by operating chains of one to 50 stores.
