"These kids often leave home in the middle of the night with nothing more than the clothes on their back," said Randi Hobbs, credit director [image-nocss] for CarterEnergy and a Carter Cares volunteer. "We want to do what we can to give these mothers one less thing to worry about. We hope that getting their kids to school with the things they need will alleviate any additional stress they may be feeling during this difficult time."
CarterEnergy Associates pooled their resources and purchased school supplies throughout the month of July to stuff the backpacks, which are currently being distributed to the shelters for the upcoming school year. The backpacks themselves were donated to the group by CarterEnergy.
