Casey's Named Title Sponsor of USMTS National Tour

And Fas Mart becomes Bristol Motor Speedway partner
ANKENY, Iowa -- Casey's General Stores Inc., a longtime supporter of many different styles of racing, will be the title sponsor of the U.S. Modified Touring Series (USMTS) National Tour for the 2009 racing season. Also, Fas Mart Convenience Stores is a new partner for Bristol Motor Speedway.

"In the midst of what has been referred to as the worst economy in nearly a century, we are both elated and humbled to have the support from Casey's General Stores again for 2009," said USMTS president Todd Staley. In addition to becoming the title sponsor of America's premier dirt Modified touring series, Casey's will also continue as the title sponsor of the Hunt for the USMTS National Championship as well as the Official Convenience Store of the USMTS.

For the fourth straight season, the Hunt for the USMTS Casey's General Stores National Championship will crown the USMTS National Champion; 18 events make up The Hunt for 2009, with all single-day events paying $3,000 to win. The September 18-19 doubleheader at the North Central Speedway in Brainerd, Minn., will pay $2,000 to win on Friday and $3,000 to win on Saturday. The 11th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree is set for September 24-26, with $2,000 going to the winner on Thursday, $4,000 on Friday and $6,000 on Saturday.

Each driver will utilize a branded driving suit during their sponsorship period and each racecar will be professionally detailed with the latest vehicle wrap technology to give a bright, multi-colored and stand-out appearance.

Thanks to the support from Casey's, fans will also be able to pick up coupons at area Casey's locations good for $2 off grandstand admission at most USMTS Casey's General Stores National Tour events.

Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey's owns and operates more than 1,470 convenience stores in nine Midwestern states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Separately, Bristol Motor Speedway officials have announced an agreement with Fas Mart Convenience Stores naming the company as a new partner during major event weekends.
Fans in town for NASCAR races and the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals will be able to find Fas Mart convenience items without having to leave the BMS campgrounds.

"Fas Mart is proud to continue our tradition of motorsports and raceway sponsorship support with the announcement of our newest partnership as Official Partner of Bristol Motor Speedway," said Dave McComas, president and CEO of Mechanicsville, Va.-based Fas Mart. "This creates exciting opportunities for Fas Mart's valued customers and race fans with Ultimate Race Fan NASCAR ticket giveaways, discount event tickets and an on-site convenience store during major race events."

Additionally, Fas Mart has become the title sponsor of Bristol's extremely popular Street Fights series, as well as Thunder Valley Mayhem. Fas Mart Street Fights events provide the opportunity for anyone to challenge the famous Thunder Valley quarter-mile. From family mini-vans to tricked-out tuners, cars of all types can be found testing the strip at Street Fights.

"This program helps keep racing in a more secure, organized environment and off the streets. Eighteen events comprise the ninth season of the Fas Mart Street Fights series. The schedule consists of seven Saturday races, with the remaining events running on Thursday evenings. Fas Mart Street Fights kicks off the 2009 campaign in Thunder Valley with its season opener on March 28. The final Street Fights will take place October 3.
