Thompson named to new position; Gosselin taking on expanded responsibilities

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Marla Thompson and Lisa Gosselin have been promoted to new roles at Catalina Marketing Corp., a leader in consumer-driven marketing.

Thompson has been promoted to the newly created position of group vice president of CMS marketing and innovation. She will be responsible for leading Catalina's overall product and brand marketing. She previously served as vice president of business development.

She is a board member of the Network of Executive Women (NEW).

Gosselin has been promoted to group vice president with expanded responsibilities, including eastern manufacturers and Target Corp. She has been with Catalina for 10 years and has held several managerial responsibilities across retail and manufacturer sales.

She is the Southern California committee secretary for NEW.

St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Catalina provides manufacturer and retail brands with proprietary and integrated in-store and out-of-store marketing platforms, including CouponNetwork.com. It leverages a major transaction-level shopper data warehouse to develop, deliver and measure shopper and patient-driven engagements to approximately 90 million households and 130 million health consumers annually. Media distribution channels include 50,000 food, drug and mass locations worldwide.

Catalina is expanding its nationwide point-of-sale (POS) media network into convenience stores following a successful pilot program with Norfolk, Va.-based Outsite Networks, the company said in late September (see Related Content below for previous CSP Daily News coverage).
