Chevron Launches Holiday Gift Card Incentive

Purchase benefits Marine Toys for Tots program

SAN RAMON, Calif. -- Chevron Global Marketing has rolled out its holiday gift card incentive, through which customers purchasing a $50 Chevron gift card at participating Chevron retail locations can select one of three toy cars among The Chevron Cars family to donate to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.

Customers purchasing a Chevron gift card of $50 or more will select their favorite from three popular Chevron toy carsMaddie Mudster, Frankie 4-Wheeler and Riley Roadsterthat will be donated to disadvantaged children this year as part [image-nocss] of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program annual tradition.

Chevron gift cards must be purchased from participating Chevron locations by Dec. 31, 2007, in order to participate in the Toys for Tots donation. All Chevron toy cars will be delivered to select Toys for Tots dropoff locations by Dec. 31, 2007.

Meanwhile, more than 77% of respondents to a recent Kraft/CSP Daily News that asked, "Do you offer a gift card for gasoline and/or in-store purchases at your store(s)?" said "yes"; nearly 20% said "no"; and about 3% said "no, but we're working on such a program."
