Circle K Awards Car Wash Contract to Mark VII

Deal covers c-stores in seven U.S. regions

LAVAL, Quebec -- Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc.'s Circle K division has awarded a two-year contract to Mark VII Equipment Inc. for the producer of vehicle washing systems to supply car wash equipment to the retailer's locations in seven regions in the United States.

"Our partnership with Circle K began with supplying equipment, service and chemicals to its Southwest region in 2008," said Steve Jeffs, president and CEO of Mark VII. "Last year, we expanded that relationship to include three additional regions and now we are adding three more. We are excited to continue to grow our successful partnership with this leader in convenience retailing."

Will Quaglieri--who played for the New York Mets in the Minor League from 2004 to 2006--has rejoined Mark VII to manage the Circle K relationship. Quaglieri was instrumental in landing the Circle K business in 2008 and is responsible for implementation of the expanded contract.

Founded in 1966 and based in Arvada, Colo., Mark VII Equipment is the North American subsidiary of WashTec AG. The combined companies have a global installed base of more than 30,000 units and sell a complete line of touch-free and friction rollover, self-serve, truck and tunnel carwash systems, as well as ancillary products, chemicals and services.

As of Jan. 29, 2012, Laval, Quebec-based Couche-Tard had a network of 5,817 c-stores, 4,225 of which include motor fuel dispensing. It supplies motor fuel to 338 sites operated by independent operators. Couche-Tard's network consists of 13 business units, including nine in the United States covering 42 states and the District of Columbia (primarily under the Circle K flag), and four in Canada covering all 10 provinces (primarily under the Mac's and Couche-Tard flags).
