Clark Brands Expands Relationship With CBC

Buying group will introduce C-Buying for Clark to licensees

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Clark Brands LLC has announced the expansion of its relationship with C-Buying, a division of CBC. C-Buying for Clark will help increase operators' margins and revenue by providing value-added services and solutions such as educational tools, training, preferred pricing and special promotions, as well as traditional services such as discount and rebate programs.

"We are excited to introduce C-Buying for Clark to our licensees and their locations. In addition to preferred pricing for convenience products, C-Buying will also offer a broad spectrum of new products and [image-nocss] services to our customers that will enhance their businesses and further increase the value of the Clark brand for them. We're going to roll this program out slowly and deliberately to ensure we communicate the full value of it to our licensees and their customers," said Karl Goodhouse, president of Clark Brands. "We are particularly excited about the training and educational programs."

In addition, C-Buying for Clark will offer Four Corners Coffee, a coffee program for independents, as well as Clark's uniform and store supplies programs.

Jon Lanphier, CEO of CBC, said, "Clark Brand's growth and focus on consistent value and service for the independent retailer is a natural fit for our organization. Our ability to strengthen our relationships with Clark Brands, its management team and its licensees works very well with our long-term strategy."

Clark Brands, based in Naperville, Ill., licenses the Clark gasoline brand and the Four Corners Coffee brand to independent petroleum marketers and retailers in 25 states. Clark licensees manage their own petroleum supply, purchasing at their lowest available cost every day. Clark also provides comprehensive credit-card processing services, including the Clark Platinum MasterCard, and other marketing programs.

Westmont, Ill.-based CBC is a marketing services company and buying group for independent operators in the petroleum, convenience store and automotive industries.
