Cody's Picks KickBack

S.W. Mo. retailer joins loyalty coalition

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Cody's Ventures LLC, which currently operates 36 Cody's Convenience Stores in southwestern Missouri, has joined the KickBack Points Coalition Rewards Network. KickBack Points has more than two million cardholders in 15 states and Canada, it said.

Cody's launched its fully integrated Passport POS, loyalty solution in early April. Once the card base has matured, the company has plans to link the rewards card to a proprietary ACH/debit solution, also provided by KickBack Rewards Systems, to combat "outrageous" credit-card fees.

"With this program, we can improve [image-nocss] our bottom line and differentiate ourselves in the marketplace. We'll be able to increase customer frequency, raise average ticket value and improve our customer retention," said Curtis Jared, Cody's former executive vice president, who was recently named president and CEO.

"KickBack Rewards Systems gave Cody's an affordable, customized, turnkey solution to serve their needs," said Patrick J. Lewis, partner and CEO for KickBack Rewards Systems.

The KickBack Points Rewards program can accumulate points based on several different variables, allowing merchants to custom fit their loyalty program. Points can be used as currency or for a discount. The program also supports detailed customer messaging and cashier messaging to reinforce participation and simplify use.

Cody's Ventures is the parent company of Cody's Convenience Stores, Springfield, Mo. With the recent Snak Atak acquisition (click here for previous CSP Daily News coverage) and slated new construction, Cody's now operates 36 stores in southwest Missouri.

Twin Falls, Idaho-based KickBack Rewards Systems specializes in turnkey loyalty solutions for the convenience store channel.
