The company has also announced that SmartPay has saved customers $20 million on gasoline since its launch in January 2013.

Available as both a card and a mobile payment app, SmartPay is free to enroll. Users automatically save 10 cents on every gallon of gas every day at Cumberland Farms' gas stations in the Northeast and Florida.

"We are extremely pleased with the performance of our SmartPay program and that total savings on gas for our customers has jumped from $10 million to $20 million in just eight months," said Ari Haseotes, CEO of Cumberland Farms. "We look forward to the continued expansion of this convenient and budget-friendly way for our loyal customers to save at the pump."

SmartPay lets customers pay for gas at the pump. Following the transaction, the system automatically emails users a receipt and notifies them of how much money they saved on that transaction by using SmartPay. In addition, it notifies mobile app users of their lifetime savings with the program via the app. As an added convenience, customers may also use SmartPay for in-store purchases.

To celebrate the milestone, Cumberland Farms is launching a promotion on the brand's Facebook page from January 23 to 25. To enter, customers must calculate their projected 2015 coffee savings using Cumberland Farms' Coffee Savings Calculator, and post their projected annual savings as a comment on the $20 million saved announcement post.

The company will announce 20 winners in the comments, and they will receive a $20 gift card to their local Cumberland Farms.

Cumberland Farms makes life easier for busy people every day. What started in 1939 with a cow and a dream has grown into a network of convenience stores across eight states. Three generations later, Cumberland Farms is still family owned and operated, and continues to reflect the values it was built upon: envisioning a better way to serve customers by providing the best possible products at the best possible prices. Whether you're buying a cold Chill Zone drink, a hot or iced cup of Farmhouse Blend coffee, or filling the gas tank, convenience and customer service are key. Cumberland Farms also has a long heritage of giving back to the communities where it operates, from feeding the hungry, to supporting local sports teams and fundraising.

Framingham, Mass.-based Cumberland Farms is a family-owned and -operated chain of approximately 600 convenience stores in 11 states.
