Daily's, MAPCO Add NCR's Blockbuster Express DVD Kiosks

Rollouts put more than 500 total Blockbuster Express kiosks in region
DULUTH, Ga. -- Daily's Convenience Stores has added Blockbuster Express-branded DVD kiosks at nearly 100 Daily's retail outlets across Tennessee and Kentucky, said NCR Corp. Also, MAPCO Express Inc.is deploying 400 Blockbuster Express kiosks in its Tennessee-area locations.

Through these deals, NCR has announced a major expansion of its Blockbuster Express-branded DVD kiosks in Tennessee and other southern states with the deployment of more than 500 total Blockbuster Express kiosks in the region.

Consumers in the region can already experience the convenience of Blockbuster [image-nocss] Express kiosks at local grocery stores and convenience stores, and the addition of kiosks at Daily's Convenience Stores will create even more options to pick up and drop off $1-per-night DVDs.

Consumers can conveniently return DVDs to any Blockbuster Express kiosk, not just where they rented the DVD.

"NCR's Blockbuster Express-branded DVD kiosks are a great complementary addition to the products and services we already offer."

With capacity for more than 950 DVDs, NCR's kiosks can offer more than twice the typical number of DVDs held by competing kiosks. In addition, customers can rent DVDs online at blockbusterexpress.com, so they can quickly pick up their DVD at their preferred kiosk location without spending time browsing at the kiosk. No membership is required to rent a DVD at a Blockbuster Express kioskcustomers swipe their credit card and are charged $1 per night until they return the DVD.

MAPCO Express is currently one of the largest c-store operators in the Southeast, with more than 400 locations in nine states.
