DFW Welcomes PumpTop TV

First installations completed at three Fort Worth Valero stations

DALLAS -- PumpTop TV is now live at the first of at least 65 gas stations in the greater Dallas/Forth Worth area, according to AdtekMedia Inc., owner/operator of the gas-pump TV network. The first PumpTop TV installations were completed this week and are now up and running at three Fort Worth Valero stations.

PumpTop TV is a network of LCD screens mounted at eye level on dispensers at various station brands. News video from ABC, real-time traffic maps, along with weather, sports, business, health and entertainment news are delivered to consumers as they fuel their vehicles.

A limited [image-nocss] number of advertisements from national, regional and local companies are interspersed within PumpTop TV's programming.

"We all know how difficult it is to effectively reach today's highly mobile consumers," said Paul Schmidt, PumpTop TV's national sales manager. "We engage people with a sight, sound and motion experience while they're 'on-the-go', which marketers appreciate."

PumpTop TV's network consists of nearly 5,000 screens found at most major station brands in the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, Phoenix and now Dallas/Fort Worth markets. The Houston, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta and Florida markets are slated for later this year, the company said.

Irvine, Calif.-based PumpTop TV is owned and operated by AdtekMedia, a provider of out-of-home digital media solutions. The company has partnered with Westinghouse Digital Electronics, a major LCD TV manufacturers, to expand the PumpTop TV network into top U.S. metropolitan markets within the next four years, it said.
