D&S Appoints Benton as VP Sales

Will service eastern U.S., seek new distributors

HIGH RIDGE, Mo. -- D&S Car Wash Equipment Co., a leading manufacturer of in-bay automatics, self-serve equipment and industrial vacuums, has announced the appointment of Mike Benton as vice president of sales for its eastern region. Benton will assume immediate responsibility of D&S' distributor network for the eastern United States. His primary focus will be to manage revenue growth and implement a "best practices" strategy with current D&S distributors.

In addition, Benton will work closely with David Whitaker, vice president of business development, to identify [image-nocss] and sign on new distributors in this key market.

Benton brings 17 years of diverse experience from the building materials and semiconductor industries. He most recently served as vice president of manufacturing at Swan Corp., a kitchen and bath manufacturer in St. Louis. In this role, Benton was responsible for improving productivity, increasing overall operational efficiencies, and for continuous quality improvement.

Prior to Swan, Benton served as plant manager for both the Sherman, Texas, and Chonan, Korea, manufacturing facilities of MEMC Electronic Materials Inc.

"We believe Mike's extensive experience and his demonstrated ability to cultivate cultures of continuous improvement by aligning financial goals with customer objectives make him an excellent choice to help lead D&S. His knowledge and leadership skills will be critical to our success as we expand our commitment to continuous improvement and best practice implementation," said Jon Jansky, president and CEO of High Ridge, Mo.-based D&S.

D&S supplies equipment and solutions to petroleum marketers, convenience store operators, auto dealers, fast lube operators and retail car wash segments.
