FRN, Priceline Team Up for Traveler Rewards

Savings on fuel intended to help consumers afford getaways

DALLAS -- The Fuel Rewards Network (FRN) program has teamed up with Priceline Partner Network (PPN) for consumers to earn cents-off-per-gallon rewards at the pump at participating Shell stations by booking airline tickets, hotel rooms and rental cars.

The rewards they earn from bookings made through Fuelrewards.com will result in immediate savings on gas--savings that can be allocated to more vacations, personal getaways and family trips. Savings earned on these travel purchases can be combined with all other rewards earned through the Fuel Rewards program for even more savings at the pump.

The Fuel Rewards program views the alliance as a new opportunity for more affordable travel by giving consumers ways to save on fuel--an everyday, frequent purchase--and use those savings to fund even more personal and family vacations and trips.

Both companies see this opportunity as a way to help U.S. consumers pay for leisure trips.

"We are thrilled to be working with the Priceline Partner Network on this new venture to give Americans even more ways to save on the cost of gas, so they can spend more on life-- and on travel. We hope travelers will take full advantage of their fuel savings to help them pay for their leisure or business trips," said Megan Flynn, executive vice president of business development for the Fuel Rewards program.

Consumers who sign up as Fuel Rewards members will be able to book their flights, hotel stays and rental cars on a PPN-provided travel section at Fuelrewards.com, which will issue and track their rewards.

The new site will launch in early 2015.

Excentus Corp., Dallas, is the creator of and patent-holder for marketing programs and services that use price roll-down discounts at the pump as a consumer reward. The growing Fuel Rewards program, formally known as the Fuel Rewards Network, provides members with the opportunity to earn free fuel simply by purchasing the things they normally would from more than 1,400 retail locations, nearly 700 online merchants and more than 10,000 restaurants and redeeming their rewards at participating fuel stations across the country. It holds nine patents on the technology behind the cents-per-gallon model and licenses various uses of its patent portfolio to provide private-label fuel discount programs through its business unit, Centego II LLC.

PPN, a wholly owned division of priceline.com, offers a suite of online travel booking engines for high-producing websites. Its privately branded, mobile-supported booking engines include hotels, rental cars, airlines and dynamic vacation packages and include more than three million user reviews.
