Gate Petroleum Renews Wright Express Contract

Extends deal for three more years

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine -- Gate Petroleum Co. has executed a three-year contract extension with Wright Express Corp.

Wright Express, a major provider of payment processing and information management services to the U.S. commercial and government fleet industry, provides Gate Petroleum with a card product that carries the Gate petroleum brand only, with Wright Express as the silent, full-service operation that backs it.

We are pleased that Gate Petroleum, a premier convenience store retailer in the Southeast, chose to renew its private-label [image-nocss] contract with us, said Michael E. Dubyak, president and CEO of Wright Express. Gate's private-label card offering has been, and will continue to be, an attractive way for business fleets in Gate's geographic markets to make it easier to control the increased costs of fuel. Wright Express is committed to providing the expanded portfolio reporting, web-based solutions and comprehensive purchase controls that help our strategic partners' fleet customers better manage drivers' purchases.

Gate, headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., operates 150 gas stations, many with c-stores, in seven southeastern states. The sites also accept the Wright Express Universal fleet card. A major user of Wright Express fuel card services, Gate has had a relationship with Wright Express since 1999.

South Portland, Maine-based Wright Express provides services for more than 290,000 commercial and government fleets containing more than four million vehicles. Wright Express markets these services directly as well as through more than 85 strategic relationships, and offers a MasterCard-branded corporate card.
