Gulf Oil Teams With Mets, Red Sox

Customers can win game tickets by signing up for company's Power Points rewards program

WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. -- Gulf Oil has announced a new partnership with the New York Mets and Boston Red Sox to promote the company’s online shopping rewards program, Power Points.

From July 1 through Sept. 2, consumers who sign up for the Power Points rewards program will be automatically entered for a chance to win tickets to see the Mets play at Citi Field and the Red Sox at Fenway Park. Four winners (two for the Mets tickets and two for the Red Sox tickets) will be randomly selected each month during the sweepstakes period.

The digital marketing program will deliver more than 2.5 million impressions in the New York and Boston areas through a combination of banner advertisements, social media posts and emails.

Through the Power Points program, users can shop online at their favorite stores and earn “Power Points.” A dollar in “Power Points” is worth $1 of Gulf gasoline. Power Points users can then redeem their points for Gulf gift cards or to pay their Gulf Orange Card balance.

Wellesley Hills, Mass.-based Gulf Oil is a diverse refined-products terminaling, storage and logistics business and is a leading distributor of motor fuels in the United States.
