Jiffy Mart Helps St. Jude's 'Boot Cancer' Campaign

Raised more than $4,800 for children's research hospital
WESTMINSTER, Md. -- During the month of February, the Jiffy Mart stores in Carroll County, Md., helped raise money to support the children at St. Jude's Research Hospital. They sold enough "boots" to raise $4821.39 which exceeded last year's total.

Tom Moser, general manager of Jiffy Mart said, "We really enjoy getting out and working to help those in need in the communities we serve. We pride ourselves in being the hometown convenience store in the county."

The effort was successful because of the team work of the store teams and the Jiffy Mart office staff. The [image-nocss] store teams asked each customer if they would like to buy a boot to "Boot Out Cancer."

Customers and the Tevis Oil family of employees were generous in their appreciation of the work done by St. Jude's.

Dwayne Cover, Jiffy Mart's Business Manager said, "Our associates really got into it this year. They had a good time while helping such a great cause."

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is the only pediatric research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family's inability to pay.

Westminster, Md.-based Jiffy Mart is a division of Tevis Oil. Jiffy Mart operates convenience stores exclusively in Carroll County including Westminster, Finksburg and Hampstead.
