Mark VII acquires Texas distributor Aqua-Pro

ARVADA, Colo. -- Mark VII Equipment Inc., a major supplier of carwash solutions, said that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Aqua-Pro Car Wash Systems, the distributor of Mark VII products in the state of Texas (excluding El Paso).

Based in the Dallas area, Aqua-Pro has sales and service personnel located throughout Texas. The new subsidiary will continue to operate under the Aqua-Pro name and will be managed by Mark VII veteran Sandy Bass, who will relocate to Dallas to assume the role of vice president and general manager. Former owner [image-nocss] Johnna Boyd will remain with the organization to ensure a smooth transition and work on special projects for Mark VII.

Aqua-Pro has consistently been a top-performing distributor for Mark VII, said Murray Kennedy, president and CEO of Mark VII. Acquiring Aqua Pro demonstrates our commitment to further improve sales and service and accelerate growth in this important market. We're putting our best sales manager in charge to ensure that we meet our goals.

Boyd said, This was the logical next step for the Aqua-Pro/Mark VII relationship. Our organizations are joined at the hip when it comes to serving the Texas carwash market. Now, with greater access to WashTec/Mark VII resources, we'll be able to grow faster and provide even better service to our customers.

Added Bass: Texas is a huge market, and the combination of Aqua Pro and Mark VII gives us a great foundation to take our business there to the next level.

Arvada, Colo.-based Mark VII is a wholly-owned subsidiary of WashTec AG of Germany, a major supplier of solutions for the carwash business worldwide. The combined companies have a global installed base of more than 30,000 units and sell a complete line of touchfree and friction rollover, self-serve, truck and tunnel carwash systems, as well as ancillary products and services.
