Maute Joins CBX

New senior VP, partner at branding firm

NEW YORK -- Todd Maute has joined CBX, a strategic branding and design company, as a senior vice president/partner.

In his new role, Maute, 44, will focus on expanding CBX's retail environment capabilities in the areas of marketing, retail brand development, package design, market research and category management. He will work with existing and new clients across multiple channels of trade.

Maute comes to CBX from Daymon Worldwide, an international sales and marketing company, where he was recruited in 1994 to develop an advertising [image-nocss] group dedicated to helping retailers across 10 different channels market their private-label brands. Later, as vice president of marketing, he was responsible for the firm's independent package design unit, Daymon Worldwide Design, while also directing category management, research and merchandising, and global marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining Daymon Worldwide in 1994, Maute owned and operated an advertising agency in New York, serving such clients as Citibank, Kids R' Us, Sony and a variety of restaurant chains. He began his career in 1986 as a designer for a small direct mail and promotions company, working with ESPN, Adidas, Mouton Cadet Wines, The U.S. Mint, The U.S. Olympic Committee, Citibank, Sony and Castrol Oil, among other companies.

With clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, General Mills, Cadbury Schweppes, Pathmark Stores, Petro-Canada and ADP, CBX is a fully integrated creative agency specializing in strategy, consumer brand design, retail design, and corporate identity design.
