McLane, Enmark Extend Distribution Deal

Will supply all locations for additional three years

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Enmark Stations Inc. said that it has extended its service agreement with McLane Co. Inc. for an additional three years.

Enmark currently operates more than 76 stores in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

McLane has contributed to our business success with their excellent service, beneficial category management information and low cost of goods. Their knowledge of logistics and focus on the customer has helped us grow our business. Extending the service agreement with McLane will help us continue our [image-nocss] success in meeting the needs of our customers and expanding our business, said Jim Mercer, vice president and general manager of Enmark, Savannah, Ga.

Enmark is a subsidiary of Colonial Group Inc. a private company with extensive ownership in oil and gas-related companies. Enmark began operation in 1963 as Interstate Stations and were branded as Enmark in the late 1980s. McLane provides distribution services throughout the United States, delivering food and nonfood products to more than 50,000 customer locations, including the convenience store, drug store, mass merchandise, quick-service restaurant and movie theater industries. Based in Temple, Texas, the company operates 19 grocery distribution divisions and 18 foodservice distribution centers as well as an industry specific software company. McLane is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
