GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Gilbarco Veeder-Root has completed software development for its Passport point-of-sale (POS) system that supports AutoGas Digital Rewards for the ConocoPhillips TankBank program.
Consumers at participating stores accumulate TankBank rewards that can be redeemed for cents-off fuel. In addition, Passport delivers additional benefits to the marketers, such as simplifying training and delivering outstanding manager controls designed to reduce shrink.
The TankBank program works across ConocoPhillips retailer locations [image-nocss] that are participating in the program to provide consumers with flexibility to earn and redeem rewards at a variety of different locations. Reward accrual and redemption are managed through the AutoGas Digital Rewards program. Each participating retailer location has an onsite computer that records new rewards and consumes redeemed rewards at the centralized database.
Doug Wadley, owner of Midway Grocery, Henrietta, Okla., was one of the first to participate in a field trial of Passport with TankBank. Passport is very easy to operate. I really like the reports it generates and the way it documents cashier exceptions, he said. Our inside sales have clearly increased with TankBank. We have also maintained our outside sales in spite of new competition we have just down the road.
The Gilbarco Passport software version 4.03 for ConocoPhillips also supports features that enable same-site/immediate fuel discounts based on car wash purchases or payment type that are independent from the TankBank program.
Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Gasboy are major suppliers of integrated fuel control, site management and support services for petroleum marketers and commercial fueling enterprises worldwide.
