Retailer to award VIP package to Kenny Chesney’s Big Revival Tour

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Loyal customers of Thorntons Convenience Stores in the Louisville, Ky., area could shop their way to see Kenny Chesney's Big Revival Tour through the retailer’s Swipe & Score Sweepstakes.

Those local Refreshing Rewards members only have the chance to win a suite for them and 11 of their friends to see Kenny Chesney at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville on April 17, complete with food and beverages. During this promotional period, 10 Louisville stores will be hosting radio remotes with additional chances to win tickets to the show.

The Chesney package is the latest reward in Thorntons’ Swipe & Score Sweepstakes, which launched in January. The contests are built to reward customers for using their loyalty cards. For the past two months, members having been swiping their cards in hopes of winning one of several prizes.

There have been 2,792 winners to date. Two lucky guests have taken trips to national football games. The next grand prize is a trip for four to college basketball's semi-final and National Championship games.

There is no cost to join Thorntons Refreshing Rewards program. Customers can pick up a card at their local store and register the card online at www.refreshingrewards.com or through a new Thorntons Refreshing Rewards mobile application available in all app stores. New members receive an additional 10 cents off every gallon of gas during the first 30 days.

Based in Louisville, Ky., Thorntons operates 180 gasoline and convenience stores, car washes and travel plazas in six states: Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and Florida.
