Murphy Oil USA Names Pointsmith Supplier Partner of Year

Retailer honors POP management company

EL DORADO, Ark. -- For the third straight year, Murphy Oil USA has named Pointsmith, a leading at-store point-of-purchase (POP) management company, as its Supplier Partner of Year.

The award was presented at Murphy Oil's annual national managers meeting in Orlando, Fla., in late January.

Approximately 100 companies currently comprise Murphy Oil's supplier roster, with only five vendors selected each year to receive the award. Pointsmith was selected based on a company-wide survey citing overwhelming support of Pointsmith's excellence in work performance, customer service, support of corporate growth goals and depth of understanding of the convenience fuel industry.

"We are delighted to receive this award for the third time," said Mark Smith, Pointsmith's account executive to the Murphy Oil USA account. "We are committed to supporting Murphy's long-term marketing objectives through the development of creative, high-impact at-store marketing programs that promotes growth throughout Murphy's retail store network."

Pointsmith currently manages the creative design, plan-o-gram development, POP production, fulfillment and field-level customer support for each of Murphy Oil's 1,128 store locations. In addition, Pointsmith's proprietary database technology manages store profiles and promotional rules for Murphy Oil to ensure that each location receives a custom sign kit for every promotion.

Founded in 1947, Pointsmith is an at-store POP management company that streamlines retail marketing programs from conception through completion and program evaluation. Katy, Texas-based Pointsmith manages the following services: dedicated account management, an in-house creative agency, custom data management, production, fulfillment, dedicated field-level support, accounting support and digital signage technology.

Murphy Oil USA, a unit of El Dorado, Ark.-based Murphy Oil Corp., operates more than 1,100 retail outlets in 23 states.
