New VP of Sales for SAS

Bennett to lead nine-state team

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- S. Abraham & Sons Inc. (SAS) welcomed George Bennett as the Midwest convenience-store distributor's new vice president of sales.

Bennett, a St. Louis native, is a graduate of the University of Missouri. He spent 13 years with Anheuser-Busch Inc. in sales, trade marketing and brand portfolio management.

Bennett will be responsible for almost $1 billion in sales and the 102 members of the sales team in the SAS nine-state distribution area.

Bennett succeeds Barry Latham, who retired in December. Latham spent his entire career in the [image-nocss] distribution industry, working for Schiller Inc. for 22 years and SAS for 21 years.
