Oklahoma Companies Team Up on Gas Rewards

Reasor's introduces rewards card program for members to save on fuel at QuikTrip

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Grocery chain Reasor's has launched Reasor's Rewards, a program initially designed to reward loyal Reasor's customers with savings on fuel at Oklahoma QuikTrip locations.

The program is a collaborative effort between Tahlequah, Okla.-based Reasor's and Tulsa, Okla.-based QuikTrip Corp.

"Reasor's Rewards is our largest program launch ever. In fact, we anticipate that our customers will save upwards of $3 million on fuel in the first year alone," said Jeff Reasor, chairman and CEO. "We've offered our Advantage Card for several years as a test case as a way for our Catoosa and 15th & Lewis customers to earn points to save at the pump. With our new partner QuikTrip, we are able to offer the opportunity to save on fuel to every single Reasor's customer."

All shoppers can now save on fuel at any Oklahoma QuikTrip or Lil' Reasor's fuel center. The program operates using a Reasor's Rewards Card, which customers can sign up to receive free at any Reasor's store. Once the card has been activated, a quick swipe of the Rewards Card at checkout will add points earned to the card, and the points will instantly appear at the bottom of the receipt.

Customers earn five points for every $50 spent in qualifying purchases. Points stack up and there is no limit to how many can be earned. As an added benefit, customers earn five points on each paid prescription filled at a Reasor's pharmacy.

Points can then be redeemed at any Oklahoma QuikTrip or Lil' Reasor's fuel center for savings at the pump. Cardholders insert their card at the pump to redeem. Five Rewards points amounts to five cents in savings, 10 Rewards points is equal to 10 cents in savings, and so on, up to 20 gallons of any grade of fuel in a single transaction. Customers can check their balance and learn more about the program at any time by visiting www.reasors.com.

"Both QuikTrip and Reasor's have a long history of enhancing our customers' shopping experience," said Mike Thornbrugh, QuikTrip manager of public and government affairs. "This partnership is an example of our commitment to provide the best possible value and savings for our customers."

Customers can begin signing up for the Reasor's Rewards card at any Reasor's store on May 9. The stores will staff signup tables in the lobby for the next two weeks. After the initial signup period, cards will be available at the register or customer service.

QuikTrip is a privately held marketer of motor fuel and c-store merchandise that currently owns and operates 612 retail outlets in 11 states.

Reasor's was founded more than 48 years ago in Tahlequah. It was family owned until 2007, when Reasor's became an employee owned company. Today, Reasor's has 15 locations and two convenience stores with an additional two locations planned for 2012. The company employs nearly 3,000 people in northeastern Oklahoma.
