OnCue Express Raises $107,000 for St. Jude

Christmas toy drive for OK Human Services following record-breaking Halloween promo

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Convenience retailer OnCue Express raised a record-breaking $107,000 during the 20th Annual Halloween Promotion to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This is the fifth year that OnCue Express has participated in St. Jude's Halloween Promotion. During that time, the chain and its customers have raised $243,500.

During the month-long Halloween promotion, thousands of restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores and retail locations nationwide asked patrons at checkout to donate $1 to St. Jude to support the hospital's groundbreaking research and lifesaving care. In exchange, consumers received a personalized Halloween-themed pinup.

The pinups were displayed in various OnCue Express locations.

"Each year, we are proud to participate in St. Jude's Halloween pinup promotion," said Greg Webb, OnCue Express Buyer. "The opportunity allows us to bring smiles to kid's faces who are dealing with difficult situations. Our customers have big hearts and have made it possible to raise a record amount all five years."

In addition to St. Jude, Oncue Express stores are also involved in Christmas-time toy drive for children in the care of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services exchanging toys for drinks. So the next time you find yourself driving through Oklahoma-stop in an OnCue Express and buy a pumpkin or drop off a toy and join them in being a community partner.

As a result of the support from corporate partners and their customers over the past 20 years, the Halloween Promotion has raised $56 million to help fund the lifesaving research and treatment being done at the hospital.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The hospital's research has helped push overall survival rates for childhood cancer from less than 20% when the institution opened to almost 80% today. It is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children, and no family ever pays St. Jude for care.

OnCue Express is a chain of c-stores located throughout Oklahoma, with one store in Kansas. This chain of stores is operated by OnCue Marketing LLC, which also operates several Subways, Simple Simon's and one Dairy Queen store. In addition to Subway subs, Simple Simon's pizza, DQ burgers and ice cream, the Stillwater, Okla.-based company offers gasoline and a full range of c-store food and beverage products.
