QuickChek Supports Hope For The Warriors

Raises $75,000 to benefit military families

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. --QuickChek convenience store customers and employees demonstrated great support to military families with their September "Dog Tag" Promotion. In total, the New Jersey retail chain raised more than $75,000 for Hope For The Warriors in support of military families both locally and nationwide. Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for United States service members and military families.

QuickChek convenience stores donation to Hope for the Warriors

Throughout the month of September, QuickChek customers were invited to purchase $1 "Dog Tags" in support of military families. Each Dog Tag purchased was signed and posted on the walls of the more than 130 stores.

The QuickChek location in Neptune, N.J., sold the most Dog Tags with its donations totaling $3,755.

QuickChek presented Hope For The Warriors with a $75,000 check donation on Nov. 10 at its Neptune, N.J., location.

"We pride ourselves in being active members of the communities we serve, and we're pleased to honor and support our service members and their families who give so much of themselves," said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling, whose privately owned-and-operated company based in Whitehouse Station, N.J., has 139 convenience stores throughout New Jersey and New York.

"We are very humbled by the overwhelming response from QuickChek and their customers to support our military families," said Robin Kelleher, president of Hope For The Warriors. "This promotion was a great success due to the dedication of each employee and each customer that participated. Their support will make a tremendous impact on the lives of service members and veterans in New Jersey and nationwide."
