RaceTrac Among Best Places to Work

Ranked in top 25 large companies by Dallas Business Journal
DALLAS -- The Dallas Business Journal has released the list of 2009 honorees for their seventh annual Best Places to Work Awards Luncheon. Of the more than 400 companies that competed for the honor, RaceTrac Petroleum was named one of the top 25 large companies to work for in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The competing companies were evaluated by a comprehensive score of employee surveys which were administered by an independent research firm. The companies chosen as the Dallas Business Journal's Best Places to Work were those that received the top best-practice [image-nocss] scores. The best-practice scores vary by company size and meet national industry standards.

"In a year that has seen the Dallas-Fort Worth region of RaceTrac celebrate the company's 75th anniversary with the opening of their 75th North Texas store, this designation is a testament to the hard-working associates and managers who are committed to making RaceTrac a great place to shop," the company said. "As the company grows, RaceTrac continues to seek the best talent available for each position to help better serve their customers."

Atlanta-based RaceTrac operates more than 525 convenience store/gas station locations in 12 southeastern states under the RaceTrac and RaceWay brands. RaceTrac stores, which are all company owned, feature 20 to 24 fueling positions and a more than 4,000-square-foot c-store offering approximately 4,000 items.
