RBG to Provide Retail Services to Circle K

National Wholesale Fuels dealers can access branded c-store programs

LISLE, Ill. -- RBG Club Services (RBG) has signed a multiyear agreement with National Wholesale Fuels (NWF) to establish and conduct a convenience-store buying club named the National Wholesale Fuels Buying Club.

NWF is a unit of Laval, Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. It oversees all of Couche-Tard’s Circle K-branded dealer and wholesale businesses in the United States.

This agreement will allow RBG Club Services to provide convenience-retailing services to all NWF dealers in the form of marketing programs, rebate administration and promotion management.

“Our goal with this program is to create a convenience-retailing solution that provides our dealers a consistent offering for promotional activities and strong opportunities for enhanced sales and margins in their stores,” said Ken Langston, senior director of National Wholesale Fuels for Couche-Tard. “NWF dealers will increase their promotional and operational efficiencies by accessing RBG’s programs, products and services directly through the National Wholesale Fuels Buying Club website.”

Thomas Gilbert, president of RBG Club Services, said, “By combining the strategic directives of National Wholesale Fuels with our niche services for the independent retailer, RBG Club Services has taken a significant step in aggregating the buying power of all NWF dealers. Our personal vendor relationships, training services and merchandising capabilities will continue to help both vendors and operators achieve success in the convenience-store industry.”

NWF supplies gasoline, diesel products and branding opportunities to independent motor-fuel retailers across the country. It sells nearly 900 million gallons of fuel annually through a network of more than 800 accounts. It operates within 11 regional business units in the United States

RBG Club Services, based in Lisle, Ill., is a national organization that helps convenience stores, petroleum locations, college bookstores, truckstop and travel-plaza centers, auto-repair facilities, drug stores, tobacco outlets and liquors stores maximize sales and profitability. Services include negotiating with regional and national suppliers for sales and marketing programs and providing category management, marketing support and customer service support for its membership.
