DALLAS -- Mike Ross has been named director for the convenience and gas (C&G) industry, retail corporate banking, for Fifth Third Bank in Dallas.
One of the few financial experts dedicated exclusively to convenience-store financing, Ross previously was executive vice president for the convenience and gas industry for Houston-based Cadence Bank and has been financing retail petroleum operators across the country for more than 20 years.
Before Cadence Bank, Ross served as director of acquisitions for convenience-store real-estate investment trust (REIT) Getty Realty Corp., Jericho, N.Y., as well as in financial services roles at Servant Investments, CNL Restaurant Properties, Merrill Lynch, FMAC and Bank One.
His experience includes specialized convenience and gas financing for commercial lending, sale-leaseback providers and nontraditional lending platforms. In his new role at Fifth Third, Ross leads a platform dedicated to financing retail petroleum operators on a national basis.
Fifth Third Bank is a U.S. regional banking corporation with headquarters in Cincinnati. It is the principal subsidiary of holding company Fifth Third Bancorp.
