Royal Buying Group Rolls Out New Training

Offering computer-based training through C-Store Training Services

LISLE, Ill. -- Royal Buying Group Inc. (RBG) has launched a new category of training that is now available and being offered through the C-Store Training Services (CSTS) division of the company. CSTS is providing a library of computer-based training courses that are available as CD modules or digital downloads.

The computer-based training offers a variety of training modules that covers top c-store industry topics in the following categories: customer service, foodservice, loss prevention, financial management, human resources and c-store sales training.

CSTS Training Modules encompasses training for manager, cashier and jobber levels.

Promotional packages are available for each category and select CD training modules are also available in Spanish. In addition, CSTS is offering a special introductory promotion that allows customers who buy four CDs to get a fifth one free.

Angela Angelilli, vice president of sales of RBG, said that "convenience does not stop with the customer, but is just as applicable to the owners, managers and employees within the convenience store industry. CSTS's new computer-based training joins a portfolio of training services and products that includes Customized Training, Right Way Training System, C-Store Certification, Classes & Workshops and FasTrax Professional Software:

Customized Training

Customized Training allows owners to customize their own class, to be held in their area, for their dealers. Services include venue, food and beverages, marketing and assistance in enrolling dealer, trainer and course material. The customer determines what training workshop topics are needed, and CSTS can develop the rest to fit the customer's needs and specifications.

Right Way Training System

The Right Way Training System is a comprehensive system that allows employees to do training for greater productivity right in their own store. There are more than 50 modules available that cover c-stores from forecourt to checkout. The Right Way Performance Management Binder is also available as a companion product to the Right Way Training System.

C-Store Certification

Online c-store testing and certification is a subscription service that includes challenging questions and answers in random order to ensure employees have the knowledge and training to operate a c-store. It hones in on employees' job skills and confirms their progress in every area. The testing and certification includes customized testing, measurement reporting and immediate results with all reporting/results/testing available 24/7.

Classes & Workshops

Customers learn how to build consistent and repeatable execution of business practices through the variety of classes and workshops available. The following classes and workshops are currently being offered: business planning, food service, operational efficiencies, loss prevention/inventory management, multi-store operations, merchandising and marketing, service bay/technician/advisor management, financial tactic, effective recruiting and hiring techniques, customer service and personal management and new dealer school.

FasTrax

FasTrax Professional Software uses point-and-click commands to track every segment of the c-store business from gross profit to cash flow and inventory to productivity. Topics include: Service Bay and Technician Productivity Analysis, Tracking of Key Service Bay Indicators, Conversion to Productivity Based Incentive Plan, One-Month Business Plan, Six-Month Business Plan, Parts Profit Analysis, Service Bay Vehicle Mix Analysis, Service Bay Auto Service Analysis, Action Planning Tool, Convenience Store Analysis Tools, Shrink & Velocity Reports and Shelf Space Analysis.
