YORK, PA. -- The Rutter's companies recently donated $15,000 to DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre in York, Pa. The donation will support DreamWright's expanded education program, its touring company, and its new outreach initiatives.
DreamWrights fosters and inspires growth, creativity, responsibility and an appreciation for live theater in people of all ages and cultures through its educational theater arts program.
The Rutter's companies also recently donated $50,000 to the YWCA of York to help at-risk students. The YWCA's [image-nocss] Quantum Opportunities Program seeks to increase the graduation rate and enrollment in post-secondary education among at-risk middle school and high school students in the city of York. The program provides education, service and personal development opportunities.
The lounge area in the YWCA's Teen Center, which houses the Quantum program, will be named for Rutter's.
And the Rutter's companies recently presented a check for $7,500 to the non-profit Panther Foundation, which raises money to support the educational, cultural and athletic programs of Central York School District.
Family-owned and third-generation managed, the Rutter's companies comprise Rutter's Farm Stores (more than 50 stores, all in Pennsylvania), Rutter's Dairy and M&G Realty.
