Area residents who have a loved ones serving in one of the three countries can submit their names to SOAR, and requests will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served [image-nocss] basis, Rutter's said.
The boxes will be filled with items including salted snacks, candy, chewing gum and Valentine's Day cards. A number of Rutter's vendors donated items for the boxes.
SOAR was founded in York County Pa. Its mission is to support troops serving at home and overseas, honor veterans and provide a support group for family members of the troops.
Family-owned and third-generation managed, York, Pa.-based Rutter's operates 55 convenience stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania.
