Sheetz Offering Free Gas for a Year

Also teams with Steelers' Farrior to support Special Olympics
ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc. is giving away free gasoline for a year to 18 customers starting November 17. Customers can come into any Sheetz location in Ohio and enter to win when they sign up for the "My Sheetz Card." Members of the program are automatically entered into the contest. Each week, three Sheetz customers will win $2,000 worth of gasoline, considered to be an entire year's worth.

Every Sheetz store has a My Sheetz Card service kiosk where customers can sign up for the program. This is where customers will check every day to see if they are a winner. They swipe [image-nocss] their My Sheetz Card in the kiosk and find out instantly.

The My Sheetz Card rewards program allows members to earn points toward discounts on gasoline. They use the service kiosk or ask a cashier to activate their card and present their driver's license.

They can earn rewards for every day purchases made at Sheetz, accumulating points that can be redeemed for discounts on gasoline.

Once enrolled in the My Sheetz Card program members can track points earnings, balance, transaction history and program details at www.mysheetzcard.com.

Meanwhile, Sheetz has teamed up with the Pittsburgh Steelers to support Special Olympics and give customers the chance to win breakfast with Steelers linebacker James Farrior. The grand prize is a private breakfast at the Steelers training facility in Pittsburgh where a fan will be able to talk with Farrior and ask him questions about what it's like to play for the five-time Super Bowl Championship Steelers.

Starting now and continuing until December 27, customers can visitwww.sheetz.com orwww.steelers.com and enter to win. Customers can also get information at any participating Sheetz location to learn how to text to enter.

During this tim, Sheetz will also donate 10 cents from every specialty made-to-order Sheetz Bros. Coffeez drink purchase to Special Olympics.

"Everyone at Sheetz loves Special Olympics. There's no other way to say it," said Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing for the chain. "We love everything they stand for-the goodwill and sportsmanship the games foster and the opportunities they provide for people to realize their potential-not just in sports, but in life."

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

"Watching athletes develop lasting friendships and enjoy life is the biggest reward for anyone who gets involved in Special Olympics. We are grateful that the Steelers have offered their support for building awareness of this wonderful organization," added Sheetz.
