Irving Oil partners with hockey team for promotions
WORCESTER, Mass. -- Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr has announced that the American Hockey League (AHL) team has partnered with Irving Oil to present the "Worcester Sharks Summer Days Presented by Irving Oil."

The Worcester Sharks remain extremely active during the off-season, with more than 100 community appearances throughout Central Massachusetts. Worcester Sharks Summer Days presented by Irving Oil includes player and mascot appearances, Sharks Street Brigades and SharkHead Shootouts.

"The Sharks are excited to be partnered with Irving Oil in [image-nocss] the central Massachusetts community," said Lehr, "The Sharks will continue to make it a priority to get more kids involved in hockey this summer and appreciate the support from Irving Oil."

The Worcester Sharks Summer Days presented by Irving Oil officially kicked off on June 4, as the Sharks Street Brigade visited the Flagg Street Elementary School Spree Day in Worcester, Mass. The Sharks Street Brigade is an interactive, mobile, street hockey experience geared toward elementary school-aged children in order to generate an interest in hockey and make it more accessible to local youth.

The Sharks Street Brigade staff will provide professional basic instruction and conduct drills and short scrimmages or provide an hour of fun for anyone involved. The scrimmages will be refereed by the team mascot, Finz.
