ROCKLAND, Mass. -- Tedeschi Food Shops, a 188-location convenience store chain in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut, will install NCR Corp.'s Blockbuster Express-branded DVD-rental kiosks in all of its stores. Blockbuster Express is currently available in 89 Tedeschi Food Shop locations. By the end of October, it expects to deploy kiosks at 27 additional locations. It will install the units in the remainder of the Tedeschi chain by the end of 2009.

We believe NCR has the most compelling vision for delivering entertainment conveniently and efficiently to consumers," said Joe Hamza, vice president of sales and marketing for Tedeschi Food Shops.

"Convenience stores are a prime location for DVD rental kiosks, as it is a great way for consumers to pick up their entertainment for the evening without having to make an additional stop on their way home," said Alex Camara, vice president and general manager of NCR Entertainment.
