United Chains Offering Fuel Discounts

Loyal customers earn United Express vouchers through in-store grocery purchases

LUBBOCK, Texas -- United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos stores are rewarding loyal customers by offering a fuel discount with their in-store purchases. Between Aug. 28 and Oct. 29, customers will earn discounts on their fuel purchases at United Express fuel stations when they shop at participating United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos locations in the Amarillo, Lubbock and Wichita Falls, Texas, areas.

"At United, we are dedicated to rewarding guests for shopping our stores," said Wes Jackson, chief merchandising officer for The United Family. "Offering our guests savings at the pump by simply doing their routine grocery shopping allows us to show our gratitude for their continued support."

Customers receive a fuel voucher discount code on their receipt during checkout in stores. They may redeem the fuel discount at any participating United Express fuel station by entering the discount code at the pump or presenting the fuel voucher discount code to the fuel station attendant prior to payment. The discount code is valid for 14 days from the date on receipt and is redeemable on a one-time purchase of up to 25 gallons of fuel.

Discounts will be provided as follows:

  • $40 to $69.99 spent in-store saves 5 cents off per gallon.
  • $70 to $99.99 spent in-store saves 10 cents off per gallon.
  • $100 to $149.99 spent in-store saves 15 cents off per gallon.
  • $150 or more spent in-store saves 20 cents off per gallon.

Tobacco, gift cards, fuel and guest services purchases, including Western Union, money orders and postage stamps, will not earn fuel discounts.

Now in its 97th year of operation, The United Family is a Lubbock, Texas-based, family-owned grocery chain with stores in 30 markets across north and west Texas. Earlier this month, the former United Supermarkets LLC changed its name as the result of a strategic branding initiative to reflect the company’s multiple store brands as well as its rich family history. A self-distributing company, The United Family currently operates 57 stores under four brands, United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos and United Express, along with subsidiary operations R.C. Taylor Distributing, Praters and Llano Logistics.
