Urgent Care Travel Celebrates 2nd Pilot Grand Opening

New medical center opens at travel center in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Urgent Care Travel (UCT) has announced that it is opening a second location at a Pilot Flying J site, this time at a Pilot travel center in Oklahoma City. It opened its first urgent care location on May 1 at a Pilot travel center in Knoxville, Tenn.

The Oklahoma City location held a grand opening on July 9.

UCT and Pilot Flying Travel J have come to an agreement to open as many as 100 urgent care facilities on Pilot Flying J travel centers. This means professional truck drivers, travelers and local community members will easily be within very few miles of an urgent care center to receive quality care on the road.

The new facility will highlight the many different services readily available to professional truck drivers and travelers that are highly recommended when traveling on the road. These services include general medical care, physical exams and test like DOT exams, sleep disorder testing/treatment and vision /hearing test. UCT services also include pediatrics and providing care to worker injuries.

"We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with such a great organization as Pilot Flying J and to bring needed quality healthcare services to professional drivers and travelers on the nation's interstate highways," said Urgent Care Travel CEO Tony Barber. "Our planned rollout of 100 locations will provide for the most comprehensive coverage of the nations interstates with medical care access of any provider in the United States, and this only a start."

UCT specializes in the needs of interstate travelers, particularly professional drivers that call the road their home. Founded in 2013 and based in Estero, Fla., UCT has an exclusive relationship with Pilot Flying J to develop urgent care clinics on select Pilot and Flying J Travel Center locations to provide medical care to those traveling on the road.
