SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine -- Wright Express Corp. has introduced the Wright Express Business Card.
The card offers the traditional benefits of a fleet card, such as nationwide acceptance and controls that restrict usage to fuel and service merchants. It also provides reward points and access to resources to help businesses manage their operations more effectively, the company said.
The Wright Express Business Card combines the convenience, savings and control of a fleet card with a suite of valuable business services, said Michael [image-nocss] Dubyak, president and CEO. The addition of our WrightRewards points program rounds out the offer to businesses who are interested in a rewards program.
Wright Express Business Card features include:
WrightRewards, a rewards program allowing businesses to earn points on every transaction redeemable for travel, entertainment and retail purchases. Roadside assistance program. Online pre-employment screening services to verify information on employment applications, request criminal history reports, administer drug screens and, after gaining special authorization, access to motor vehicle reports. These services provide an easy and cost-effective solution for complying with the U.S. Department of Transportation's mandatory screening requirements. Acceptance at a network of more than 180,000 fuel and service locations.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Wright Express Fueling Solutions Inc., an affiliate of Wright Express Corp., was recently issued a Private Letter Ruling by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) acknowledging Fueling Solutions as a qualified ultimate vendor in order to facilitate federal diesel excise tax exemptions on behalf of eligible tax-exempt fleet customers.
Through this program, eligible fleets are invoiced net of Federal diesel excise tax and provided with applicable transaction reporting, saving them time and money in the administration and recovery of this tax.
