Kellogg’s Releases Popular Mashup in Big-Bar Form

Treat increased revenue by 24% in 2017

ELMHURST, Ill. -- In a move that continues the mashup of two perennial favorites, Kellogg’s has launched its Cocoa Krispies Treats with M&M’s in big-bar form. This flavor reveal is a stepping stone for Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats, which is the top-selling treat bar in convenience stores, according to a recent Nielsen study.

The new Cocoa Krispies Treats with M&M’s Big Bar is 1.94 ounces in size.

The original Rice Krispies Treats with M&M’s thrived in 2017, increasing revenue by nearly a quarter (24%), and it now represents more than 6% of the total treat bars sold in the convenience channel. The bars, in various sizes, come in flavors such as Original Rice Krispies Treats, Caramel Chocolate Chunk, Buttery Toffee and Double Chocolately Chunk.

Battle Creek, Mich.-based Kellogg Co. sells products in more than 180 countries.
