Mrs. Freshley's Refreshed

Brand celebrates new packaging with "Spot Mrs. Freshley's Sweet New Look" contest

THOMASVILLE, Ga. -- Mrs. Freshley's, a leading line of snack cakes and pastries from Flowers Foods, has unveiled a brand new look: Packaging with a bright modern design that compliments a new logo unveiled earlier this year.

The updated packaging provides product descriptions and includes photos on the multi-pack boxes, while the cellophane-wrapped, single-serve packs have a clear window area showcasing the product. Consumers can now learn more about Mrs. Freshley's from the "Wide Variety of Quality Snacks" section on the back of the boxes.

"While the new packaging honors the Mrs. Freshley's tradition, the photography and more contemporary design make the statement that this is the snack of today--on the go or anytime," said Brent Bradshaw, vice president of brand marketing for the Thomasville, Ga.-based company. "This new look will grab the attention of not just Mrs. Freshley's fans, but new customers as well."

The brand also is launching the "Spot the Mrs. Freshley's Sweet New Look" giveaway. It is asking consumers to snap a picture of the new packaging and submit it on Mrs. Freshley's Facebook page. Every week, it will select 20 fans at random to win a package of Mrs. Freshley's products. The contest culminates with a grand-prize giveaway--free Mrs. Freshley's for a year.

The contest ends May 26, 2013.

Mrs. Freshley's products are available in supermarkets, convenience stores and vending machines nationwide. The company offers more than 50 different snack cakes and pastries.
