NexCen Brands Appoints Valles to New Position

Will focus on c-stores, other nontraditional venues
NEW YORK -- NexCen Brands Inc. has announced the appointment of Tony Valles to the newly created position of vice president of non-traditional development for NexCen Franchise Management Inc., the franchising subsidiary of NexCen Brands. Valles will be responsible for developing franchise locations in venues such as convenience stores, airports, universities and other nontraditional retail locations.

He will report to Chris Dull, president of NexCen Franchise Management. Valles, 54, has more than 30 years of experience in restaurant franchising, real-estate development, [image-nocss] construction and architecture. Most recently, Valles was president of Valles Development, a franchise consulting company that he founded in 2006. Prior to that, he served as senior director of non-traditional development at Quiznos where some of his responsibilities included managing c-store, gas station and other nontraditional franchise development, recruiting new multi-unit franchisees and negotiating deal structures.

Throughout Valles' career, he has held business and franchise development positions of increasing responsibility for companies such as Dunkin' Brands, The Krystal Co., Church's Chicken, Yorkshire Global Restaurants and Burger King Corp.
