Oberto Names Small-Format Sales Director

Austin was previously with Abbott, E A S, ConAgra, Kraft
KENT, Wash. -- The Oberto Sausage Co. recently named Lisa Austin to the position of director of sales for small format. Austin has 18 years of consumer package goods (CPG) sales experience. She has experience with food and mass retailers including Walmart and Safeway, military experience with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) and the Defence Commissary Agency (DeCA) and convenience channel experience with retailers including 7-Eleven, Circle K and Exxon.

Prior to joining Oberto, for more than seven years, Austin led the convenience channel team at Abbott [image-nocss] Nutrition, Columbus, Ohio, which provides pediatric and adult nutritional and health care products at retail. She was also Director of Sales for Convenience at E A S Nutrition, Abbott Park, Ill., a sports nutrition supplements and products company.

In addition to her convenience channel experience, Austin has worked in the grocery channel for both ConAgra and Kraft. At Omaha, Neb.-based ConAgra, she was a district manager for five years. At Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft, she was an account manager for five years.

Kent, Wash.-based Oberto is one of the nation's top beef jerky producers and meat snack food brands. It makes several varieties each of Oh Boy, Lowrey's and Pacific Gold beef jerky; it also makes Bit-O-Luv dog treats. Oberto products are available online and in convenience, grocery and mass market retailers nationwide.
