Sasquatch Takes on Basketball Star in Latest Ad

Jack Link’s is bringing Workin’ Out With Sasquatch back in funny new ad spots

MINONG, Wis. -- Jack Link’s released a new Workin’ Out With Sasquatch marketing campaign. But unlike past campaigns that featured football stars Clay Matthews and Odell Beckham Jr., the new series of ads stars basketball player Karl-Anthony Towns (KAT). The ad spots will run on TV networks like TNT, Adult Swim and FX. Content will also be available online at YouTube, Hulu and Funny or Die.

"If anyone can size up to America’s favorite woodland man-beast it’s basketball star Karl-Anthony Towns (KAT), a beast of his own at 7 feet tall weighing in at 1/8 of a ton," the company said.

"Building on the success we’ve seen with Workin’ Out With Sasquatch, we’re expanding the integrated campaign as Jack Link’s jerky continues to protein-power the lives of all types of athletes," said TD Dixon, chief marketing officer at Jack Link’s. "Featuring Karl-Anthony Towns alongside Sasquatch was an obvious choice for Jack Link’s. They’re both tall and share the same shoe size, so naturally we knew they’d get along great."

One spot, titled "Workin’ Out with KAT," shows KAT following Sasquatch’s lead by deadlifting a log, jumping over a porcupine, calisthenics through leg raises, and light stretching--all with the help of "100% beef protein."

In another spot, called "What’s in KAT’s gym bag," KAT shows the contents of his gym bag, including Jack Link’s jerky and a fully grown North American badger.

"Jerky is an amazing protein-packed snack," KAT said, "Sasquatch is my favorite beast and Jack Link’s is my favorite jerky; there’s absolutely no better combo in the league."

Consumers can also win "baller prizes," including one-of-a-ind Sasquatch shoes, an all-expenses paid trip to the big game finals and signed KAT gear. And beginning this month, LTO KAT packs of Jack Link's jerky will be available online for purchase.
