Other findings include: Snickers was often mentioned in relation to a Halloween-themed commercial, which was tagged by hundreds of people as #creepy. Justin [image-nocss] Bieber's fondness for Twix makes #bieberfact the third most common hashtag for Twix. Hershey's Kisses are mentioned more than twice as many times as Hershey Bars.
E.Life tracked the following brands: Snickers, Hershey, Reese's, Twix, Milky Way, Kit Kat, Butterfinger, Nestle Crunch, 3 Musketeers and 100 Grand. The phrase "candy corn" was included, even though it does not refer to a specific brand, because it consistently appears in Google's top search phrases relating to Halloween.

The monitoring was accomplished using E.Life's social media and monitoring software, Tweetmeter. Tweetmeter tracks and stores all tweets that mention a specific brand or phrase. The software analyzes the tweets and provides 16 reports that help brand managers understand how consumers are engaging with their brand, determine the best ways to respond, and report on the success of their social media initiatives. The reports track phrases mentioned in conjunction with the brand, hashtags, positive vs. negative tweets, influencers, re-tweets, trends, and tweets by time of day.
