The new shop will continue to offer most of the products customers are used to buying, and also provide some Stewart's signature items, including milk, ice cream, coffee and more.

The company does not plan any changes to the exterior of the 19-year -old structure; there will be some new equipment and interior modifications. It cannot currently sell beer at this new shop. The New York State Liquor Authority has a backlog of 1,000 permit applications. The location will not be able to sell beer until the new permit is issued in a month or two.

The store will not be able to sell any New York State Lottery games until this June 7, said the retailer.

In other company news, the Stewart's Shop located in Hoosick, N.Y., has a brand new look. The shop recently completed a full remodel including updates to the beverage coolers and additional counter space in the shop.

A TGIFinished celebration was held at the shop that included a BBQ and deals on Stewart's products throughout the day.
