Turkey That Doesn't Need to Be Defrosted

Baskin-Robbins, Carvel bring out the bird holiday frozen treats

CANTON, Mass. & ATLANTA -- Ice cream shops are featuring turkey-shaped and turkey-themed ice cream cakes this Thanksgiving season, among other seasonally themed frozen treats. Thankfully, they are not turky flavored.

Among its holiday products, Baskin-Robbins is offering a Turkey Cake that is shaped like the bird itself. It is an all ice cream cake glazed in caramel praline topping and completed with two sugar-cone legs.

And among its holiday products, Carvel is offering Tom the Turkey Cake--freshly made ice cream with chocolate crunchies covered with chocolate mousse and decorated to look like a turkey with red, yellow and orange whipped frosting.

It is also offering Lil’ Gobblers Novelty Treats--premium vanilla ice cream coated in a chocolate shell and topped off with a whipped frosting design to look like miniature turkeys.
